Saturday, June 8, 2024 - Sunday, June 9, 2024

The Germanic-American Institute is celebrating 30 years as a leading language and cultural non-profit in Minnesota with our 66th annual Deutsche Tage (German Days).

Event hours
Saturday, June 8 | 11 AM to 9 PM
Sunday, June 9 | 11 AM to 5 PM

One of St. Paul’s longest-running ethnic festivals, the family-friendly event takes place on the grounds of the Germanic-American Institute. To celebrate the GAI’s 30th anniversary as the non-profit for Germanic language and cultural studies in the state of Minnesota, the event features authentic German and European food fare, Paulaner beer, music and traditional dance and fun for the whole family. Proceeds from the event help the Germanic-American Institute raise the necessary funds to support it’s cultural and language education programming all year long.

Highlights of 2024 include guests Pommersche Tanzdeel Freistadt from Western Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, featuring traditional dance and song from Pomeranian regions of Germany.

Admission is free. Adults 21 and over may buy a $10 wristbands for beer and wine purchase with valid ID. No pets allowed, but service animals are always welcome.

Entertainment
The GAI welcomes the Pommersche Tanzdeel Freistadt, Bavarian Musikmeisters, The Jolly Huntsman, Minnesänger Choir, Jimi the Polka Pirate and Rivers Ballet.

We are excited to provide an ASL interpreter to our Deutsche Tage festival on Sunday, June 9. This addition ensures that all attendees can fully engage with the exciting lineup of cultural performances and activities.
